Novel sinuous band microelectrode array for electrochemical amperometric sensing

Pursuing a higher response signal is the core challenge in improving detection performance of microelectrode-based amperometric electrochemical sensor. Band microelectrode arrays (bMEAs) are attractive due to their high current and economical fabrication process. However, further amplifying by arranging array more compactly or increasing its size generally hindered shielding effect restricted construction region. A novel sinuous band microelectrodes (sbMEA) proposed, produced deforming bMEA tilting bending. Its diffusion characteristics simulated analyzed. The effects structural parameters on revealed, optimal value deduced. simulation demonstrates that sbMEA can generate larger than MEA traditional shape. Production such does not involve any additional costs compared with bMEA. Cyclic voltammetry (CV) tests potassium ferrocyanide solution verify theoretical sbMEA, 10% was obtained corresponding
